"Building a future worth living for, today."
We acknowledge that our business is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Abegweit Mi’kmaq First Nation.
Gomex Engineering Ltd. is the leading consulting firm on the island that offers both Passive House Design services and Whole-building Life Cycle Assessments, taking into account the critical synergies between the two to design low carbon, energy efficient buildings. This holistic approach is what is needed to help build net zero emission buildings.
As the Founder of Gomex Engineering Ltd., Valentine brings over 16 years of engineering, project and construction management experience to our Clients.
As PEI's only Certified Passive House Designer on the Island, Gomex specializes in low carbon, energy efficient, buildings designs for residential, large-scale institutional, civic, and commercial projects that meet the rigorous Passive House Standards.

Gomex also performs whole building life cycle assessments for new construction to create a baseline reference building and work with design teams in the early stages to assist with material selection and design optimization to significantly lower a building's embodied carbon.
We are also available to provide guest lectures highlighting the importance of addressing embodied carbon in the built environment and how we can build net zero emission buildings today.
